While we anxiously await the release of Ferry Corsten's upcoming mixed cd Once Upon a Night, here is a taste of the lead of single "Right Back." Russian trance producer Yuri Kane has the prime spot as opening track on disc one with this gorgeous progressive track. Based around an angelic female and possessing pop influences, if you enjoyed Morgan Page's recent releases, "Right Back" will definitely be "right" up your alley.

When I first got this track I thought to myself, a cover of Hot Chip already, really? Wow, was I happy to be mistaken. Seemingly inspired by David Guetta's "When Love Takes Over," Liverpool based producer/DJs Ian Longo and Jay Wainwright built this emotionally uplifting track around a similar sounding hook whi is also reminiscent of Coldplay's "Clocks." If Craig Smart's soaring vocals sound familiar, you might recognize him from the track "One Love, World Love" that he did under the name Yardi Don with Frank Ti-Aya or his work with the Underdog Project. The masterminds at AATW have equipped this powerful song with a full spectrum of remixes by Ian Carey, Christian Davies, Kenny Hayes, Trilogy Project, and Jorg Schmid so it will work on just about any dance floor.

If the label 4AD was resurrected and they started releasing synthpop, Class Actress is what they would sound like. The duo of Elizabeth Harper and Mark Richardson imbue electronic grooves with an 80s feel that is both retro and modern at the same time. Perfectly suited for a movie soundtrack, the song really doesn't live up to the name of the label that it is released on..

There's a movement of producers making electronic music with low fidelity, retro computers that sounds like classic video games. Boy 8-Bit got his start making tracks with his Amiga (hence his name) and has progressed to making big tracks as well as buzz-worthy electro remixes of artists like X-Press 2, Armand Van Helden, La Roux, Mika and Chromeo. For some reason, "Baltic Pine" reminds me of "Dolly's Song" by Holly Dolly which itself was an update of the traditional Finnish polka song "Ievan Polokka. While I am not sure if Boy 8-bit was inspired by the polka, there is a striking similarity. The video is quite amazing with dolls bouncing and dancing happily. This could be the next viral internet sensation or buzz track for Disney.
