Jazzanova
Monday July 5, 2004
Germany's six-piece DJ/production collective Jazzanova continues to test the boundaries of dance and electronic music. Their unique style interweaves Soul, Hip-hop, Jazz and House music into a universally appealing groove. Highly sought after as remixers since their debut on the scene in the late 1990s, they have worked with artists such as Roy Ayers, Incognito, Ian Pooley, 4 Hero and Koop. In 2002 they released their first full-length album, "In Between," which was later remixed by various artists and released as a full-length collection. Their latest effort is "Mixing," a mix CD and LP which combines some of their personal favourites with new remixes of their original music. Jurgen von Knoblauch, one of the DJs in the group, recently spoke with Emmerald.
