It takes real guts to totally change your sound and do something completely different. Adam Freeland is best known as a dj/producer in the breaks world and for his label Marine Parade (home to Alex Metric and launchpad for Evil Nine.) Under the name Freeland, he has created a new electronic rock sound that is more guitar and drum based with little of the breaks sound that he is known for. It seems to have more in common with the progressive rock sound of Rush than anything he has previously released. The recently released CD
Cope features collaborations members of Motley Crue, The Pixies, and Devo. It is definitely a CD worth checking out.
