As dance music goes more and more indie, one problem that seems to surface is artists finding the right song. Record labels serve as a filter so that the right artist performs the right song at the right time. When an independent artist gets it right, they tend to knock it out of the park. With "I Don't Believe in Hate (Drip Drop)," heritage dance artist Amber found the perfect song for her. Written by Kelly Mueller, the song is emotional and beautiful with the intelligent lyrics you would expect to be sung by someone who has previously been inspired by James Joyce in her songwriting ("Yes.") Amber's vocal performance is dramatic and powerful, but not overdone - another problem which often plagues independent artists (badly produced/oversung vocals.) The original version here is midtempo electronic pop and remixes by Pathos V2 & Yinon Yahel (Offer Nissim's producer) pump it up for the clubs. Quite good, and we were afraid it was going to be a take off on Filly.
