Portuguese gangster rap? Yes, this track is quite controversial, having been banned in Brazil for its lyrics glorifying weapons and fighting against the police (as well as rival drug factions.) With a latin/house beat similar to the Nicola Fasano vs Pat-Rich "75, Brazil Street" that Pitbull used for "Calle Ocho," its easy to see why this track continues to pop up around the world. We first heard of this track last year from Brazilian DJs who said it was massive. "Rap Das Armas" hit number one in the Netherlands and is making waves in Australia as well. While we might not endorse the message of the lyrics, the beat is undeniable and has quickly become a floorfiller for me in my club sets.
