Abigail will always hold a special place in my heart. Her single, the double a-side of "Constant Craving"/"Losing My Religion," was the first import CD single that I ever bought. For a whole year, I played that CD on my radio show every week. Then I had the honor of meeting her at my first Winter Music Conference and I lost it. As I stood there all atwitter and stammering in her presence, she was so sweet and signed my piece of paper and took a picture with me. Abigail is such an amazing singer, artist and incredibly nice person.
After her hiNRG period, she was reborn as a circuit diva with the megaHit "Let The Joy Rise" which is arguably the best Thunderpuss production of their canon. Abigial pops up ever few years and blesses clubland with another magical song - "You Set Me Free," "Lay Down," "Falling" and now this cover of Alphaville's graduation staple "Forever Young."
Teaming up with circuit producer/dj Bill Bennett who has recently had a club hit "Fame" with Suzanne Palmer, Abigail sounds incredible, as always. The eurostyle beat of the Electric Allstar remix is reminiscent of her earliest work yet modernized with a touch of electro. Additional remix by Bill Bennett & Pete Masitti and Edson Pride take the song into hands-in-the-air anthem and tribal directions. Abigail is a true clubland gem and having her back singing for us makes the little clubkid inside me all atwitter again.
