Dirty glitchy electro with a rock edge is a quick way to describe this new single by British indie band Hadouken! Working with Dutch Drum and Bass trio Noisia have definitely amped up their sound. Additional remixes by Detboi, Phace and Plastician are just as sick as they would sound (and that's a compliment.) The Not Safe For Work video is quite twisted, showing a large rodent character hitting on girls and getting drunk before a moment of realization and a quite violent consequence. Maybe someone was reliving the joy of using plushies from the Moby "Beautiful" video? Just as jungle and techno in the 90s coopted children's toys and tv shows for inspiration, maybe glitch and drum and bass is continuing the trend for the new millenium.
