With all these electro and bloghouse artists sampling the 80s, I knew it was only a matter of time for someone to take on "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor. Well, this isn't a cover version and maybe not even a sample, but there is definitely a connection or inspiration from the Rocky classic. The Canadian duo Chromeo has been building a following with their catchy 80s inspired electropop singles like "Fancy Footwork" and "Bonafied Loving." Packed with a discobeat and driving guitars, "Night by Night" is released on Green Label Sound, which is supported by Mountain Dew. Kinda fits, doesn't it?
