DJ List 2009 - Predictions?

As DJ Magazine prepares to announce their list of the top international DJs (the DJ Mag List) as chosen by the public on Wednesday at Ministry of Sound in London, there is so much buzz as to who will top the list this year. From my perspective David Guetta should top the list as this has clearly been his year, with two massive international singles, a well received artist album and major event gigs. However, the strength of the trance-loving mass of voters makes me think he will only move up from 5 to 3, with Armin van Buuren and Tiesto holding the top 2 spots. The wildcards to be watched are deadmau5, members of the Swedish House Mafia (Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso), and Laidback Luke. It will be interesting to see if the big house and electro DJs can break the domination of the trance DJs. What do you think? Post a comment with your opinion.
