Ke$ha just keeps popping out the tunes. The drunken waif follows the hyper-charged sexual anthem "Blah Blah Blah" with a straight-out in-your-face pop jam that begs to be screamed from the rooftops. "Your Love Is My Drug" has been called noisy and predictable, but there's something about the pleasant simplicity in the lyrics, an attempt to blatantly disregard the rest of the world and focus on the heart's obsession, that can be timeless. And while the video proves that perhaps Ke$ha would be more convincing if she just stood there and looked pretty, the attempted homage at Yellow Submarine by The Beatles is cute if a little misplaced. While the song stands up admirably on its own, the remixes take it to another level. First up is Dave Aude, who has been rocking the club lately with remixes of Goldfrapp, Alexis Jordan, and Lady Gaga. His mix here is sleek and polished and great to dance to. Second is Bimbo Jones, whose distinctive style has made them one of the most requested remixers lately. Their mix definitely takes the energy of the original and jacks it through the roof. Both are stellar offerings, and picking a favorite is like choosing the best part of a Klondike bar.
