Vendetta is making some awesome collaborations this year. Not only was he featured on Luciana's stellar 2010 single "Make Boys Cry", he's teamed up with the superb Tara McDonald and Azerbaijani mugam singer, Alim Qasimov. Alim's deft handling of the difficult style of mugam complements the desert strings and dramatic drums Vendetta has provided to support his singers. McDonald does a fantastic job of staying in the music, never dropping below or floating above it but being a part of how well this song works. The chorus is fast-paced and rhythmic with a memorable line of "I'm your Goddess - I will not be denied." Dr Kucho! spins the track into a bouncier, smoother direction while still maintaining some of the elements of the original theme minus a large part of the vocals. The entire project is engaging and fun, and while some of the lyrics sound derivative, overall it is a solid effort from all parties. This could be a summer scorcher.
