Dana Rayne has been a favorite popdance singer of mine since I first saw her at the Dance For the Cure benefit in 2003. I flew to New York to see Amber, Judy Torres, Reina and Kim Sozzi at the show and was immediately enamored of Dana Rayne (then called Dana Ritacco.) Her powerful yet sultry vocals and insane dancing skills (commanding a troupe of 5 backup dancers) drew attention as she performed her debut hit "Object of My Desire" (a UK Top 10 pop hit) and Widelife-produced "No More Games" (whatever happened to that song?) Back for 2010, she has popped things up a bit with a winking, playfully sexual song that could easily be sung by Katy Perry. Is she singing about love or orgasm? It's hard to tell. She sounds great and the chorus is quite catchy. In the hands of UK remixers Buzz Junkies, the song is popdance with bit of an electro edge. This is already big on dance radio and I could imagine it crossing over to top 40.
