It's time to welcome a new Aussie pop princess to clubland. While Beatport DJs might know her from the track "Dirty House Music" she did with Marcus Knight a few years back, Giuletta is making her solo debut with the agressively electropop "Vertigo." Imagine Miley Cyrus singing a Pink song with a taste of Ke$has's talk-sing-ing and production by the Ting Tings for an idea. Toughened up for the clubs(and dance radio) by Dave Aude, the energetic tell-off track grows in urgency with every play. The first time I heard it, I knew it was good but it didn't grab me instantly. Listening back to my mixshow, I found myself singing the chorus without even realizing it. Her myspace page alludes to a forthcoming Chris Cox mix which would definitely take this track all the way. Watching the acoustic performance reminds me of a critique that an unsigned Anastacia received on the MTV talent show 'The Cut.' Go easy on the make-up, you're a pretty girl with a great voice and we want to see and hear more of that.
