Clubheads will quickly recognize Alex Gaudino as the Italian producer behind "Destination Calabria," "Watch Out" and the much loved by lesbians "I Love Rock and Roll." With a small change in his sound, he's made a record that's been buzzing around Ibiza all season. Originally featuring just the title line as a male vocal, the summer-vibed groover is so pretty and fluffy that it fits a tea dance on a beach as easily as the closing set at a big room club (solid remixes by Kurd Maverick, Jupiter Ace and Wideboys help this as well.) It's one of those rare tracks that bubbles up from the trendy and underground clubs to commercial success without any hint of cheesy aftertaste. For maximum crossover potential, vocalist Maxine was enlisted to add a topline that will insure international airplay. She sounds great and makes me wonder whatever happened to Tami Chynn. The video linked below fits the song perfectly - provocative and sexual without becoming the sleezy soft-core porn that dance videos often turn into. You might think you were watching an American Apparel advertisement inspired by the video for "Domino Dancing". It's also great to see Alex in his own video (he's the sexy man in the leather jacket driving the car.) While this is an excellent track, I think it might be premature to bill him as the "Italian David Guetta" (as the press release does) but then again, if we are supposed to refer to Erick Morillo as "Lord Morillo"...
