After years of playing the "featuring" role for artists like Fedde le Grand, Bodyrox, Taio Cruz, and Martijn ten Velden; Luciana stepped up to the "starring" role with "I Like That." The electro hit that she did with Static Revenger and Richard Vission rocked in clubs for nearly two years until radio started to pay attention. We heard about a bidding war between Interscope and Universal for the artist project and Interscope won with Luciana landing on Geffen (imagine how magical it would be if she would have landed on Cherrytree?) Something appears to have gone awry (maybe it was that horrific atrocity called the Diddy remix) and Luciana is a free agent again. Coming to the rescue, super-producer Dave Aude snapped up Luciana on his own Audacious label and "I'm Still Hot" is getting its long-awaited release. Originally premiered as part of the whirlwind US tour with Mary J Blige's protege Starshell, the electro jam "I'm Still Hot" is instantly catchy with enough hooks to grab anyone. Dave's remix is perfect for commercial dancefloors and mixshows with an updated "I Like That"-feel while both Macho Psycho's "head" mixes toughen things up. Super Mal's mix isn't exactly "bigger than big" but the soundtracky feel throws a nice curveball. Luciana's sassy persona comes through loud and clear - like a mature Ke$ha, she's up for a good time yet she definitely knows what she is doing and in control of the situation. And yes, she's definitely still hot.
