Emmerald Bio

From Emmerald, for About.com

Emmerald

Emmerald is contributing writer at dancemusic.about.com where she covers all things good and soulful. Genre-wise, "good and soulful" includes deep house, broken beat, afro-beat, 70s and 80s R-n-B, jazz, funk, and many things in between. She has also written articles for Straight No Chaser magazine and XLR8R magazine. She is a former DJ at WRVU-FM in Nashville, Tennessee. She now resides in Atlanta, Georgia where she spins weekly at Javaology's "Let Them Eat Cake". She keeps her ties to Nashville close spinning occasionally with her old crew, the Elevator Music Collective at the Audity Central monthly.
