Eric Durcholz Bio

Eric Durchholz is a writer and multimedia designer living in Nashville, Tennessee. He’s published two wildly different works: sci-fi/ghost story The Promise of Eden and Just Publish Some of My Poetry 'Fore I Diiie-Jaya Mangelou a satire of the deification of Maya Angelou by upper-middle-class white ladies. He’s been a two-time speaker at the Internet/Film/Music conference South By Southwest and he was interviewed for a spot on the Starz! Cinema channel about his upcoming novel/screenplay The Fabulous Second Coming about what would happen if Jesus Christ returned as a drag queen.

He loves electronic music, particularly the weird, quirky, and oddball kind. “I like the really great records that should never have been made but somehow got produced when the money-men weren’t noticing,” he says. Examples of this are Ana Voog’s anacam.com, Telex’s Looney Tunes. He also likes Basement Jaxx, Curve, Garbage and, right now, Junior Senior.

He’s currently working on a musical screenplay called The Last Temptation of Divinity Frankenchrist is which he’s blending classic church hymns with 80s music to tell the story of a man who becomes the leader of a Christian vampire cult.
