Circuit Music Review - July 2003

Play "I Must Not Chase The Boys" (Thunderpuss) ~ "I wanna give in to the woman in me, I want to be someone they don't want me to be, The moral of the story is that I've got no choice… I must not… I must not chase the boys" Don't let the bubble gum wrapper fool ya. Between Play's powerful female vocals and Thunderpuss' fiercer than usual music production, this song will have you going crazy on the dance floor and might even make you forget all about chasing those boys... for a few seconds at least.
Stacie Orrico "Stuck" (Thunderpuss) ~ Here's another incredible club remix from the boys at Thunderpuss studios. Thick funky baselines vibrate thru your body while Stacie's delightfully energetic and playful vocals keep you bouncing around the club like a giddy lil Star Search diva ;)
Cooler Kids "Morning Star" (Thunderpuss Club Mix) ~ The "Hey Girrrrrrl" group is back but this time "Cheese-Free" and with a seriously kick ass club anthem. It's one of those rare songs that fill your body with joy and ensnares your soul in a soaring rhythm of happiness!

Daphne Rubin Vega "Rocket Man" (Jones & Cabrera Vibelicious Trance Mix) ~ This Elton John classic is getting a circuit anthem makeover thanks to Centaur Records. Vibelicious has truly outdone themselves this time with a mix that is delightful and energetic! The perfect song to finish off that perfect night or to simply enjoy pool side with all your friends.
Madonna "Hollywood" (Oakenfold Mix) ~ Oakenfold lets loose with an edgy club trance remix that compliments Madonna's vocals beautifully! Now, why couldn't he do this with J Lo's "I'm Glad"
Pink "Feel Good Time"(Jp7 Extended Mix) ~ Hot off the new Charlie's Angels soundtrack Pink once again shows off her unique style which seems to have no bounds. Classic 70's Rock elements mixed with infectiously groovy Santana-esque rhythms is a sure fire recipe for another Pink Party Anthem!

Annie Lennox "Pavement Cracks" (Mac Quayle / Gabriel & Dresden / Goldtrix / Scumfrog) ~ This is an absolutely amazing & beautiful song! Gabriel & Dresden deliver another fabulous remix continuing their hot streak after Deb Cox's "Play Your Part". Mac Quayle's remix is just as fabulous making it hard to pick a favorite. Goldtrix and Scumfrog provide the dubby after-hours groove / trance mixes.

Its all about Junior on these next two songs - Heather Headley "I Wish I Wasn't" (Junior Vasquez / Darryl James / Thick Dick) and The Pretenders "Time" (Junior Vasquez).

Do you want more? Here's a few more Diva-treats to satisfy your hunger: Deborah Cox "Something Happened On The Way To Heaven" (Unknown Promo Mix), Jody Watley "Whenever" (Junior Vasquez), and Deborah Cooper "Real Love" Tony Moran & Warren Rigg, Rosabel, Paul Goodyear mixes now available from Emerge / Centaur.
