RS: I remember the first time I heard the "Freak Let Me" bootleg it was a Adina Howard on top of the Gary Numan song. How did you all get involved with that song?
Heidi: Somebody had the bootleg and our A&R guy played it to us in the record company, and we loved it and tried it out. It wasn't intentionally done for our first single, we just tried it out and recorded it. It was getting really good feedback and everyone was liking it so we went with it.

RS: You won the Brit Award for Best Dance Act for that song, what was your reaction to receiving that award?
Mutya: It was just really heavy, we'd had like a lot of success in the dance charts, so we definitely were really happy about that. I know that a lot of people thought it was weird because they didn't know about the success that we had had. We definitely weren't expecting it and it was a really great night because we got to perform as well.

RS: How is working with a dance producer like Richard X or Artful Dodger given than working with the more straightforward pop producer you're normally working with?
Mutya: To be honest, when we worked with Richard X he wasn't really known and nobody had really heard of him. So we just basically went in the studio with him and then after we released Freak Like Me he started teaming up with different acts and released a lot of other really good songs.

RS: Your songs always have incredible remixes, do you have a say in selecting the remixers?
Keisha: Sometimes, it depends on whether we hear them or not. A lot of the times when we're releasing the singles, the remixes are just put onto the singles and we've got a promotion copy and we'll listen to it. It is nice to sometimes have a say on what remixes are going out, but most of them have been really good so we are really trustworthy of the record company let them out.
Keisha: Yes, we're more concerned ourselves with the singles on the B side.

RS: Well let me ask each one of you, what's been the favorite remix of one of your songs?
Heidi: I really liked "Round Round," there was a dancehall version of it.
Keisha: Yes, that was my favorite.
Mutya: And I liked that.

RS: Is that a consensus of all three of you.
Sugababes x 3: Yes.
