RS: How does playing outside New York compare to playing in New York?
Victor: I love traveling and going to different cities and countries. Learning about different cultures and stuff is quite an experience. Trying to connect with the crowd in another country is exciting and sometimes challenging. On another note, there's something very special about playing in my hometown....

RS: How did you find out Logic Records was going to close?
Victor: All of us found out about 10 days before. I think my boss knew about it longer though.

RS: What do you attribute the closing of Logic to?
Victor: Poor music sales stemming from a bad economy, downloads and weak releases.

RS: Finding yourself unemployed, how did you decide your next move?
Victor: I was a bit thrown off since I just moved into a new loft space. Unemployment and DJ gigs helped me get through the tough times. We launched Future Progression with all the free time I had.

RS: How did you get involved with satellite radio?
Victor: Someone from Sirius eMailed me right around the time I was packing my desk at Logic. I submitted mixes for them and realized the massive need for my style of music on their rotation. That's when I discovered what my next move in my career was.

RS: How do you compare the reach of satellite radio with night club spinning?
Victor: Imagine tens of thousands up to a million listeners tuning in to you spinning either at home or in a car. It's incredible!

RS: Do you feel that one feeds the other?
Victor: I am connecting both together as we speak! :)

RS: What is the difference between Peak Hour, Future Progression and Resident Nation?
Victor: Well, I no longer work for Sirius (Peak Hour) as I now have a weekly show exclusively on Music Choice (Resident Nation) in the US. Future Progression is my company where we produce events, shows and clothing for the dance music industry.

RS: Why did you move from Sirius to Music Choice?
Victor: I did Sirius for about 1 year. Great experience. I learned a lot there and they gave me the room I needed to showcase my music as well as bringing in DJs from Europe. However, the opportunity with Music Choice will help me reach my long term and ultimate goal faster.

RS: What is the musical focus of Resident Nation?
Victor: The reason for Resident Nation was to faithfully bring the international club experience to everyone's living rooms without commercials or interruptions. So many people in the US throw their own parties at home so we positioned the show times to air during the weekend late night. Now people can hook up their cable box to a sound system and they have DJs like Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and myself playing at their house parties. They don't need to rent DJ gear or hire a DJ if they don't want to. When I program this show, I encourage all artists to submit live sets so the true club feel is enhanced.

RS: How do you choose the DJs who join you on air?
Victor: I look for good talent as long as it's electronic dance music, doesn't have to be trance. If its creative, I'll air it. I tend to avoid commercial stuff like Cher remixes.

RS: Is the show live or pre-recorded?
Victor: I record the sets and submit them at the moment but we are talking about doing live stuff.

RS: Do you program the show differently than you program your sets?
Victor: Never! I hate when a great club DJ plays a tame set on the radio. I can't stand it. When people tune in to their favorite DJ on the radio, they expect the same intensity as they would if they went to a club to see them. My sets are 100% what I would throw down at a club or rave event. Never a compromise no matter what. If a radio person told me to limit the type of music I play, I would walk.
