RS: How much freedom do you have to choose the music in your sets as opposed to traditional terrestrial mixshow sets?
Victor: All the music I play in clubs and radio are what I want to play. I would be cheating on myself as well as my fans if I changed my music.

RS: How do people respond do the show?
Victor: I get tons of great eMails all the time for Resident Nation and my tour dates. I try to respond to each message myself.

RS: What are your future plans with Resident Nation? And with radio in general?
Victor: Resident Nation will soon be a New York Club night as well as traveling tour dates in the US. I will record each RN date for broadcast so if clubbers like what I did at the event, they know they can log onto FutureProgression.com to see when it will air to re-live that moment on the dancefloor.

RS: A six day radio broadcast - where did that idea come from?
Victor: I wanted to do something that was never done here in the US so a 6 day continuous trance show with over 30 DJ's did the trick!

RS: What was the impetus for Future Progression forming?
Victor: My partner and I saw a void in urban dance culture. We were tired of seeing the same parties, same DJs, same results.

RS: How did you find your team?
Victor: We slowly built our core team through the NYC underground club circuit.

RS: What kind of projects are you working on with Future Progression?
Victor: Future Progression is a clothing line, a production alliance, radio synergy. In a nutshell, we are a lifestyle group dedicated to the electronic dance movement.

RS: Are there plans to expand it outside of New York?
Victor: Absolutely, we are already working on distribution internationally. We have done events all over the US as well as Korea, Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada & Guam.

RS: How does Future Progression tie into Resident Nation?
Victor: Future Progression promotes the show and DJs to educate the masses. We also set up an interactive message board on FutureProgression.com for fans to log on and trade feedback, rate sets and upload their own Resident Nation party pictures in real time during the show. The board is also there for suggestions on new clothing concepts and a wish list for future DJs on the show. I will also post all my playlists from Resident Nation and other shows.

RS: How do you as a DJ approach planning events for Future Progression?
Victor: We listen to our fans and trade ideas on which DJ to bring next as well as what venue to use.

RS: What DJs out there right now inspire you?
Victor: The people who support my music now inspire me.

RS: Who are your favorite producers?
Victor: Mark Norman, Above & Beyond, Lange, Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, Nu NRG, Push, Airwave to name a few.

RS: I have notice you have quite a loyal, trainspotting audience of fans. What about your musicality do you think attracts them?
Victor: I built a strong connection with a lot of people that share the same feelings about good music. I aim to lift them while I perform so naturally, they want to know what I'm playing.

RS: How was spinning in South Korea?
Victor: Beyond words. I loved the way we communicated through music even thought we didn't speak the same language. Some of them held up signs and wrote me letters. That really got me.

RS: How has the closing of Arc affected you?
Victor: Arc was a cool spot and I did some memorable shows there. I wasn't involved with them towards the end so it didn't really affect me much.

RS: What do you want to say to the people out there?
Victor: Electronic dance music is far from dead in America. We will prove that it has not even blown up yet here!
