Licensed to US by Ultra records, 76 kicks off with sci-fi sounds and harmonious vocals, which leads into the awesome track 'Precious'. Immediately following is the international hit “Yet Another Day,” one of AVB’s finest works, boasting the powerful male vocals of Ray Wilson (the former lead singer of Genesis) seemingly in the form of a ballad.
“Burned with Desire” is a personal favorite, featuring breath-taking transitions over laid back trance beats, but my favorite track is probably “From the Heart.” Aptly titled, the track features trance that translates an overall state of well being to the listener. Also featured on this incredible cd is an update of AVB’s debut track “Blue Fear” which was updated respectfully, keeping all the original sounds with a slight tweaking for the 2003.
Though its worth noting that there seems to be minor breaks between some of the tracks somewhat breaking the flow, the listener should realize that this is an artist album not a DJ-mixed compilation. Some fans of upbeat trance may find this album too laid back since some of the tracks slow down the pace and have ballad vocals, but the impeccably clean production reminiscent of BT should win them over.
Fans of trance music will love this cd, it satisfied every desirable element of a trance album for me. If you’re not the biggest trancehead, 76 will give you a taste of the best trance music being produced today. Check out the samples and enjoy listening to the cd, I did!
