Italian club sensation Benni Benassi brings together a full length artist cd that is sure to please the ears and move the feet. Unless you have lived in a cave this year, Benny Benassi has impacted your dancing life with his unique electrohouse sound. His album “Hypnotica” features his ultra-smash dance hit “Satisfaction” and a conglomerate of other filtered, hammering bass tracks with tough vocals and an electro touch. Benny along with Cousin Alle Benassi, Paul French and Violeta who performs as the “The Biz” made up the whole picture that is Benni Benassi presents The Biz.
The album has touches of techno, electro and house melded as a fun and invigorating experience. “Able to Love”, the follow-up hit to “Satisfaction”, has great soul and charm to it. All the elements that made “Satisfaction” a smash are included with a new twist and it’s quite nice. A little deeper in you find the slower, mellower track “Let it Be which has a beautiful flow to it and is a nice break from the harder tracks that dominate this cd. The track “I’m Sorry” is a little jazzier with some funky percussion elements that really compliment the vocals of The Biz.
Closer to the end of the disc, the music gets a little retro. On “Put Your Hands Up”, the vibe is more euro inspired yet retains that same smooth house feel. The Benassi Bros. bring in two tracks to finish off the cd, “I Love My Sex” and “Don’t Touch Too Much.” Vocal tracks with a different vocalist, they brings a new facet to the music yet stay true to “Hypnotica” form and are so much fun.
Benassi has opened eyes all over the US and beyond with his cutting edge sound. Be on the look out for anything bearing this Italian’s signature sounds.
