The aptly-titled mix CD by Baltimore house god Charles Feelgood shows us how to party with nothing more than a CD player. His intoxicating sets have left dancers feening for more from L.A. to New York and beyond. Charles' mix sets can be best described as a blend of funky disco house, with added elements of tech-house and hard house. In his thirteen year-plus career he has received much acclaim and many awards and has won the ear of many with his remixing talents. What sets this mix CD apart from another Feelgood mix is that every song on this disc has either been produced or remixed by the man himself.

The opening statement to this CD is "I Feel Good." On this song, Charles teams up with Scott Clausen to produce a funky house track that is fun and exciting. It has some saxophone riffs with the looped vocals of "I Feel Good." This song would be at home in the record bag of any DJ headed for Ibiza. Next up we get the 2004 dose of the song "Altitude" recorded under the guise of 707, once again with Scott Glausen. It has the presence of some foghorns or something that give you a feeling that you are flying. The song is well-constructed and helps develop the set. Keeping with the disco flair,

"Mardi Gras" has a French house sound with Feelgood's signature touch added to it. This time he records under the guise of Funkariffic.

"Charm City Hustle" starts to bring it a little harder with a funky bassline and a more driving sound. The song got its name from the studio in which it was recorded, Charm City. The build of the set is well-programmed and very danceable. The sound of tech-house comes to the foreground on the song "B-More Bump." It begins with a hard techno synth loop then mellows into a funky house monster. It has a lot of flair and moves the set harder and faster. Near the end, the track "Back Stabbers" is very tech-house with funky vocal elements and a great build-up.

Some of the mixing leaves a little to be desired, however the party vibe makes up for it a thousand percent. The one-two punch of hard and funky is what Charles Feelgood is all about. If you like house and you like to dance this CD is for you.
