Deepest it Blue - Give It Away

Ministry of Sound/Data Records
After shelling out one of the anthems of 2003 with the same title as there group name “Deepest Blue” they come back with the follow up single “Give It Away”. I must admit, no matter how good you are, there was no way you can top that previous single. I mean it’s still going to be played on a regular basis for at least a good portion of this year as well. It was a rarity that can never be duplicated. So if it can’t be duplicated, then why try. That’s why they have decided to go in a little bit more of a different direction with this single.

The remixes come equipped with a Radio Edit, a Club Edit, a Club Mix, the Michael Woods Remix and the mix that is gaining most of the attention is the Camel Riders Mirage Remix which is a more filtered funky disco style house with a more laid back approach. The more I think of it the more they remind me of a group called Dirty Vegas, and Dirty Vegas was quite a success.

Only time will tell with this single on how good it will do. The best success could also be your worst enemy. Following up an anthem is one of the toughest things to do. If they can pull this second single off with a decent amount of success, then they will not be just another one hit wonder.
