Sassy, funny, and fearless, this polyracial girl group is a delightful throwback to that time in the 80s when hip-hop, disco, electro, and funk could all play nice together. Cat, Belinda, and Jessibel are into boys, partying, shopping, and positive vibes. Their hit single "Cameltoe," about a serious kind of underwear drama, has given them a good degree of radio play and novelty success, but the full-length record So Stylistic bodes very well for continued attention for the girls and their two writer/producers. "System Boomin'" is a club stormer that bridges 2 Live Crew's Miami-booty bounce with L.A.'s electroclash revival, and it is nice. Other fun cuts include "Sugar Daddy" and "So Stylistic." Coming on like the best moments of L'Trimm with a little Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam thrown into the mix for good measure, Fannypack is perfect music to ride by or to bring a smile to your face.
Pros: A timeless sense of fun and sass in heaping doses.
Cons: There seems to be little real connection between the three girls and their writer/producers.
