Junior Senior - d-d-d-don't don't stop the beat

Crunchy Frog-Den/Atlantic-US
There are some records that from the first time you hear them are destined for greatness. This is one of them. The first single from Denmark's Junior Senior, "Move Your Feet," had a vintage Michael Jackson/French disco thing going on, but don't for one moment think that that's the dominant style on this record. Junior Senior are punky and funky, mixing it up with elements of The B-52's, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Kid Creole, classic Motown, and Iggy and the Stooges. This record wants you to put down your drink and dance, and as such I can foresee it conquering the world.

Frat parties, Art school happenings, poolhall adventures, family reunions, senior citizen cruise ships, etc... I can't think of any place this record wouldn't immediately conquer; Junior and Senior have etched out just over a half hour of body-movin' magic, and I implore you not to sleep on it. Thankfully, some forward-thinking people at Atlantic have already picked this record up for U.S. release at the beginning of August. Shake your coconuts and get down with this.

PROS: Will make ANYBODY dance, goes well with beer or margaritas. CONS: Not really contemporary dance stuff, doesn't really kick into overdrive until track 4.
