Since 1996, !K7 has been behind some of the most innovative artists in the electronic music scene including, Kruder and Dorfmeister, Vikter Duplaix, Spacek, Rae and Christian, A Guy Called Gerald, Ursula Rucker, Nick Holder and Herbert featuring Dani Siciliano, all of whom are represented on this compilation. !K7 is also responsible for the highly acclaimed DJ-Kicks series, a DJ mix series by widely celebrated acts like Thievery Corporation, Truby Trio, Kid Loco, DJ Cam, and Nightmares on Wax.
"!K7150" is a sonic journey through the !K7 vaults, providing a glimpse into the many spectrums of electronic music. The compilation begins with Modaji's sublime downtempo remix of Ursula Rucker's "Supa Sista". Nick Holder's "Sometimes I'm Blue", Kruder & Dorfmeister's classic "Black Baby", and Herbert's "Suddenly" , delve into the jazzier end of the electronic soundscape. Vikter Duplaix's "Sensuality", Recloose's "Can't Take It", and Spacek's "Motion Control" ooze with funk soul and groove. CD 02 is a similar variety pack of high quality !
