LMC vs U2 - Take Me to the Clouds Above

This has to be one of the best mash ups ever to go legit. LMC vs. U2 takes elements from two 80’s classic songs and combines them into one for the ultimate dance track. It takes some of the vocal snippet samples from Whitney Houston’s “How Will I know” and lays it behind the very chill sounding beat of U2’s “With or Without You”. Rachel McFarlane does a terrific job in handling Whitney Houston’s vocals that it’s very hard to tell that it’s really not Whitney Houston. The remixes are a really fun batch to play with. If you’re a trance fan check out remixes by Lee S, Flip & Fill with the Audiolush Remix being the best of the bunch. For the house tip you have the Mash Up Kids Remix that almost acts like a dub or instrumental as it takes a while to get into the vocal and gives you more of the U2 beat. There is also the Extended Mix and Radio edit which are pretty much one in the same. Both very laid back but yet full of energy. This is a perfect track for radio and is also becoming a staple in the Mixshows while it seems the Audiolush Remix is taking the clubs by storm. This definitely looks to be one of the Summer Anthems of 2004.
