One Tribe - Freedom

One Tribe Entertainment
Miami-based One Tribe Entertainment's release "Freedom" is a mixed vocal house compilation to recognize the Freedom Party in Miami. This is a party that has taken place yearly since 2000 over the July 4th weekend in Miami. To hear its reason for being is both noble and refreshing. This party is not-for-profit and is set up to help such charities as Lowcounty AIDS Services, We Are Family, and Alliance for Full Acceptance. This disc is full of tribal, vocal house dancefloor fillers. It captures the true essence of the Freedom Party. Rick Mitchell is the man behind the mixing on this and his work is impeccable.

Out of the gates is Robbie Rivera with his "Hum Melody." It sticks to true Robbie Rivera style with funky percussion and cool as ice vocals. Jesse Garcia follows up with "Tarragona." On this track you will find some vocals that sound like God speaking, telling the story of clubland creation. Keeping it tribal is Shauna Solomon with "You Can Get Over." Ralph Rosario lends a little knob-twisting with his Vox Club Mix. A little farther into the disc there are a pair of tracks from Michael M.- "Shoot Your Shot" and "Let Ya Have It" are full-on house songs with funky vocals and invigorating rhythms. Also found on the CD is a remix by the legendary Victor Calderone. He remixes the Mack Vibe featuring Jacqueline track "Sky's the Limit." This funked-up song is the highlight of the CD with a killer build-up and some cool sirens in it. Finishing it off is Deep Swing featuring Chance with the title track "Freedom." Full of disco vibes and soulful vocals, It takes the CD out in a very classy way.

All around this CD is well-mixed and the tracks are well-selected. Do something that will make you feel good and buy Freedom.

Great mix by Rick Mitchell Original Freedom Party, Member darylcrouse

DJ Rick Mitchell has brought a great assortment of tracks together. Beginning with a spacey intro of ""Hum Melody"", continuing on to the third track ""Raising Hell"". The third track makes you want to jump up and grab your best friends and have a party on the spot. Several tracks later Rick brings a double helping of Michael M's ""Shoot Your Shot"" and ""Let Ya Have It"" closing the CD with a jazzy rendition of Deep Swing's ""Freedom"" perfect for the original summer time Independance holiday weekend circuit party - Freedom - hosted in Charleston, South Carolina.
