A strength of ADE is the way it balances serious business (panels, forums, networking gatherings) with light hearted fun (parties, Golden Gnome awards.) Once you meet someone, there are several times you will run into them again. People are quite approachable and the ADE badge basically guarantees admission to everything (no WMC-styled door drama.)
Highlights of ADE 2010
New Technology:
Burn Studios - A new online interactive production tool for electronic dance music. Richie Hawing presented the new platform via a demonstration and an interview. Going public soon, the program will be free for everyone to use.
Emulator - Massive full sized midi-controller for DJ software. Demonstration by DJ 2001 at the DUIF party, it is a full size LCD screen (maybe 42" diagnol) that is see through so that the crowd will see everything that you are doing. Easily, the most impressive midi controller that I have ever seen.

Great Parties:
Martin Solveig Launch party at Panama - Top dutch DJs - Bassjackers and Don Diablo (last minute fill-in for Kaskade who was sick) got the party going. Martin came on stage and made it a smash with his quirky antics and over the top personality.
MN2S at Sugar Factory - Robert Owens, Ron Carroll, Full Intention, Seamus Haji and Alex Gaudino rocked the packed room all night long with brilliant house and electro music.
Golden Gnomes - The shot of Yinafred at the door was the first sign of impending madness. With the deadmau5 dancing troupe, Sander Kleinenberg in cowboy drag, and crazy hosts, the Dutch definitely know how to poke fun at an industry that often takes itself too seriously.
Remakes/sample Records:
With the massive success of "Barbra Streisand" by DuckSauce, we are going to experience a massive wave of remakes and sample records. A few to watch for:
Adamski ft Gerideau "Killer 2011"
Calagna & Cortes "This Beat is Hot"
Mory Kante "Yeke Yeke 2011"
Robortom "Paganini Rocks"
Real El Canario "International Style"
