RS: Where did the idea to remix "Dive" for the clubs come from?
Debby: Again, that was all Andrew Briskin's idea and he conferred with Jeff Tardiff of Perfectbeat.com and DJ Brian Pfeiffer.

RS: How did you choose the people to remix the song?
Debby: To be honest - at the risk of sounding corny - I went with the people who gave me the vibe of having the most "love" for my original track. The ones who really got it and immediately said - " I'm in" ... which were the three listed above. They had NO hesitation.

RS: What was your reaction when you first heard the remixes?
Debby: Unbelievable joy !!! Their talent, each of them, is overwhelming. I heard Scotty K's first - well, I just had to kiss him !!!! As I have really gotten to know dance music more recently, I feel so incredibly lucky to have these guys.

RS: Have you heard it in a club? How does it feel to see people dancing and loving your music?
Debby: The first time was at Here Lounge (in West Hollywood, Ca.) and then at Mezzanine in San Francisco when Chris Cox was there and spinning it while 4,000 people danced and sang. I know I'm a writer, but, I have trouble explaining in words what it felt like to see that many people enjoying themselves and singing a positive message - damn, I'm gettin misty right now ... next question.

RS: Where does the name Nebula 9 come from?
Debby: Well, Byran Corbett and I really liked the word Nebulus because it's signifies something mysterious and kind of lacking definition. Starry, cloudy ... and I have always loved the numbers 7 and 9. So ... to make it our own - we dropped the S, added the 9 and it felt right. It was decided in a matter of minutes. We do most things that way.

RS: You are doing everything yourself. What lessons are you learning while running Nebula 9?
Debby: That doing it all yourself brings a lot of work but, even greater rewards. Putting the team together, meeting wonderful and talented people and watching all the effort pay off - is overwhelming joyous.

RS: Are you looking forward to performing at dance clubs around the US?
Debby: God, absolutely! Mezzanine in San Francisco, Bourban Street in San Diego, Splash in New York, what's not to like? Travel and the chance to perform a song that means something to me ---- yes, very excited.

RS: How are dance clubs different than venues you are used to performing in?
Debby: Well, rock venues tend to be full of musicians and dance clubs are packed with people ready to party and enjoy the nite ... they both have their rewards.

RS: How did you choose Perfect Beat as the primary store to sell your music?
Debby: Jeff Tardiff, Jeff Tardiff, Jeff Tardiff .... have I made myself clear? <laughing> His enthusiasm, knowledge and genuinely helpful nature made for a no brainer decision.

RS: What do you want to say to all the dance music lovers out there?
Debby: Thank you for allowing a new comer to the genre a chance to "Dive" into a world full of enthusiastic, energetic ... music lovers.
