Diddy DJ Lite Review - Beatmixing Loops with Your iPhone/iPod Touch
The buzz last year at WMC for techies was the Tonium Pacemaker, a
device which allows the user to beatmix two different tracks from the
unit's hard drive. With the opening up of the IPhone to outside
developers, it was only going to be a matter of days before a DJ
product for iTunes would surface. One of the first out of the blocks
is the Diddy DJ Lite. Although its usefulness is quite limited, it
sets the standard for the use of an iPhone (or other phone-based
device) to be used for DJing.

Traktor DJ Studio
As a singer/songwriter/dance artist just getting my feet wet in DJing,
it's an interesting time to throw myself in the mix. Just as CDs were
the new vinyl, mp3 files are establishing themselves as the new CD.
I'll save the debate for another day, but it's safe to say that as a
novice DJ, the thought of simply grabbing my laptop and external hard
drive instead of cases and cases of CDs was very tempting.
