After the first night, the Release Dance Awards - I already have some news to share:
New label - Toyko Presents - started by Mark Doyle formerly of HedKandi records.. Lookout for the 3CD set The Collection which features new music by Jamiroquai, X-Press 2, Dannii Minogue, JCA, and big club hits from Michael Gray, Basement Jaxx, Gadjo, Blaze/Barbara Tucker, Faith Evans and much more. Listening to it on the tram makes me salivate for the Friday night kickoff party at Cineac.

Best comeback: Althought my understanding of the Dutch language is very minimal, a very lovely DJ La Ona translated for me the Erick E / Robin Albers comments at the Release Awards. Robin Albers made comments making fun of DJs who use CDs while spinning. Erick E responded asking if Robin still played VHS tapes at home. The crowd was laughing.. as was I when I understood the joke.
