House Music Awards 2004 Winners

After months of online voting, the House Music Awards were handed out last week at Neighbourhood in London. Featuring live performances by Therese (Stonebridge), Inaya Day, Mary Pearce (Kujay Dada), Ron Carroll, Cookie (Shapeshifters), Jay Sebag (Martin Solveig - Rockin Music) and DJ sets from Roger Sanchez and Nic Fanciulli (Skylark), the celebration continued at the AKA afterparty. With six awards and the premiere of vocals by Kathy Brown for "Strings of Life," Defected had a big night. As one who attended their party at the National, its easy to see why!
