Billed as the "world's largest gathering of professional dj's," the International DJ Expo 2007 is scheduled for August 13th-16th at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The event will feature over 25 educational seminars, networking opportunities, over 50,000 square feet of exhibitor space with 130 vendor booths and nightly parties with artist and DJ showcases at Atlantic City's top venues.
Seminar topics will focus on issues for the mobile entertainer, the multi-system mobile, the club dj, the remixer/producer and the bedroom/beginner dj. Specific topics this year include Video Ventures: What's Next for VJs; Riding the Technology Wave: Digital DJing, LED Lights and More; Training Your Next DJ; Music Programming: Advanced Mixing Tips & Techniques; Making Tracks: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know; and Bryan Dodge's "Taking Ownership of Leadership in Your Own Life."
Nighttime events will take place at the Jay-Z's 40/40 Club, House of Blues, Tun Tavern & Casbah and all the hot spots in Atlantic City. Showcases will feature performances from Cascada, Martha Wash, Kid Capri, DJ 2nd Nature, Che'nelle, Melissa Jimenez, Speakerbox, Monk and Roonie G. The Annual DJ of the Year Competition will take place on Wednesday, August 15th.
