Mike Allison and BT

After Ultra, I headed to South Beach again to relax. I walked down Ocean for numerous blocks only to find closed bars, full bars, restaurants with crazy covers, or bars blaring bad pop music. I managed to find a place that was good enough. My friends and I received horrible service, quite possibly due us still being covered in Ultrafunk and looking quite worn out. The real icing on the cake was catching BT sitting at a nearby table (thanks for the photo op and taking a minute out of your time.)

Sunday was spent recovering and relaxing out on Ft. Lauderdale Beach while basking in the afterglow of the weekend. With only a few hours left, I caught one final show in Hollywood at the SushiRoom. The perfect end to a perfect weekend was catching Annalyze and Reid Speed rip it inside out. These ladies really brought the last bit of energy out of me.

So, now it’s Monday in Ft. Lauderdale airport and the forecast says it’s 44 in Nashville. While I cannot wait to be home, I can’t wait to come back. See you soon Miami, and thanks for the wild ride.

A couple of last thoughts that I picked up over the weekend: bring comfy shoes, wear socks at Ultra, alcohol sweats out faster than you can drink it in Miami, don’t bother bringing any slightly heavy or long clothes, keep it short and lightweight, don’t expect to sleep much, and last don’t bring a camera or cd to Ultra unless you’ve got some inside hookup.

Finally, thanks to the Jungle Nerds and Breakline Crew/4 Score for making this weekend possible.
