An academic approach to electronic music? Yes, the Spark Festival of Electronic Music and Art is a unique approach to exploring dance music. Taking place February 22-26, 2006 at the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis, MN), Spark features a mix of the latest in electronic and electroacoustic music, powered installation art, dance and other interdisciplinary events. The 2005 Spark festival featured a Master Class with Philippe Manoury and a performance by DJ Spooky.
