Anil Tambwekar Bio

Anil Tambwekar has been a fan of dance music since he was 16 when he bought his first 12" singles (Blue Mercedes "I Want To Be Your Property" and Pet Shop Boys "Always On My Mind") and visited his first dance club (After Dark in Walnut Creek, California). He got his first taste of the music industry hosting a dance radio show while in college at KZSC 88.1 FM at UC Santa Cruz and then, after finishing his MA in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts at San Francisco State University, he worked in the music industry both in radio promotions and in doing sales and buying for a west coast dance music distributor before moving out of the music industry into technical support for an internet communications company in San Francisco, California. He has also done music reviews for the now defunct Hi-NRG columns of Streetsounds online and www.globaldance.net.
