Jimi Bruce has been a metro NYC club DJ, radio personality, writer, emcee, voice artist and sometime stand-up comic during the last thirty years. He has even learned to play trumpet and drums. Major on air radio gigs include New York City's #1 (at the time) 107.5 WBLS FM with Frankie Crocker, 98.7 KISS FM with Sonny Taylor, and WAYV FM Atlantic City. He's the originator of "the Pajama Bar," a radio show which launched in 1982. On-location interviews include recording artists like Chaka Khan, Shannon, Jade Starling, Chris Cox and so many more. He has emceed shows introducing the likes of Kurtis Blow at the legendary Roseland with Chuck Leonard, The Isley Brothers, Joceylyn Brown and recently introduced the Wailers at an outdoor concert featuring George Clinton. DJ gigs include Studio 54, Leviticus, Down Under, Limelight and many more. Jimi recalls, "I used to love to hang in the booth with Larry Levan workin' his magic at the [Paradise] Garage into the middle of the day... " Jimi is still chasing that elusive pot of gold at the end of the entertainment rainbow.
