Education: I graduated from the University of Georgia in 1992 with a Bachelor's degree- my major was English and my minor was philosophy.
Other related info: I've written for Flagpole magazine in Athens GA, reviewing electronic music in the early/mid 90's. I began a small home studio in the early 90's, mastering music for various local bands. I also used the studio to do sound for film and television. I've been a drummer since age 5 and played in a slew of bands before switching over to spinning music in clubs.
Style: I'm a big fan of all types of music, but when I spin I prefer house, progressive and trance. Also, I enjoy playing retro music, particularly 80's new wave. I keep the styles separate, doing the retro thing on Wednesday nights and the hi-energy trip on Saturdays. The first electronic song I heard and played to death (in my bedroom) was "Computer Games" by the Yellow Magic Orchestra. One of the first things I look for in a record in a good beat and bassline. I subscribe to the theory that less is more and like to keep it simple.
Well, that's the basics. I hope you find my reviews helpful and maybe even fun to read! It's time to press play- enjoy your equipment, enjoy the music!!
