A highlight of the International DJ Expo is always the Exhibition Booth where companies premiere and announce their latest products.
This year the booths were a buzz with lot of new gear for computer DJs. Pioneer and Denon both introduced new high end mixers that will have just about any computer DJ salivating. The deciding factor is whether you will want the mixer to be standalone and have the software controller included (Denon DN-MC6000) or be used with external CD players that act as software controllers (Pioneer DJM-2000.) Not to be outdone the Numark/Alesis/Akai area had several units on display that we featured in the NAMM wrapup. With all these high-tech gadgets, it's hard to believe that an $8 piece lofi brilliance had just as much buzz (the Beathook.)
