AirMass Music

A new dance label based out of Eindhoven, Holland and Seattle, Washington focusing on vocal trance. Their goal is to put out vocal songs rather than "so called DJ tools." Singers on the label including Zosja (top 10 winner of Dutch Pop Idols), June, Nanda and Lotte van Kleef are working with the producers Ronny V., Pasky, Jef Buter and Johan de Leeuw. Look for their debut compilation CD in 2005.

Amathus Music

New York based independent electronic dance label founded by Chris the Greek. Home to Ava Dayton, X7, Sharon T and Darren Round.

Ministry of Sound Comes to the US - Interview with Andy Horsfield (GU/MOS/HK)

Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi are coming to the US. Just the thought of what are arguably the two largest electronic/dance music brands bringing their releases directly to the States has had me excited for month. Ministry of Sound and their sublabel, Hed Kandi, have set up their own US headquarters, headed by Global Underground mastermind Andy Horsfield. Ministry of Sound has tried a US excursion before without much success.

We mourn the passing of Sam Weiss.

Sam Weiss passed away at 5:00 am on Wednesday March 19 from natural causes at Boca Raton Community Hospital in Florida. Sam was one of the great pioneers and innovators of the Record industry. Born on September 19, 1926, he will be forever known for his tremendous spirit, his love of the music industry, and the great relationships he formed with other pioneers in the business.
