Q-Burns Abstract Message Interview
Q-Burns Abstract Message is a man that wears many hats. He's an accomplished DJ, Producer, Label Head and overall industry figure. He's pretty much done and seen it all in the 20+ years that he's been behind the decks and just when most are settling down, this man seems to be hotter than ever. In a recent interview I got the scoop on what makes the man behind the clever moniker tick.
Ray Roc
From Queens to London, underground house music has brought Ray Roc into the international spotlight. With the Roc Project, he attempts a more mainstream sound and has found commercial success with "Never (Past Tense)." But can Ray maintain his undergound roots even tempered with mainstream success?
Recloose Interview
"Hiatus on the Horizon" is a particularly apt title for Matthew "Recloose" Chicoine's latest album. The Michigan native relocated to idyllic New Zealand a few years ago and made this album while settling into life on the edge of the earth. He's teamed up with some of Wellington's most talented musicians for the follow-up to his classic "Cardiology" to take dance music in an entirely different direction.
Rich P (aka The Riddler)
Rich Pangillinan is a jack-of-all-trades in the dance scene. Known as the Riddler on WKTU (one of the largest dance music stations) and as half of the up-and-coming remix team Al B Rich.

Robert Clivilles Interview (Part 2)
Robert Clivilles Interview
Robert Clivilles is truly a dance music legend. Together with his late partner David Cole, C&C Music Factory redefined dance music as a producer-driven artist medium and successfully brought their international smash hits “Gonna Make You Sweat,” “Things That Make You Go Hmm,” and “Here We Go,” to the people through clubs, video and touring. With the state of dance music in the United States, it seems like the perfect time to look back to a legend to help us focus on the future.
Roger Sanchez Interview
Roger Sanchez is not only the DJ's DJ but the producer's producer. Constructing his entire new CD Come With Me from scratch, with outside assistance, he proves his skills as engineer, producer, programmer, and songwriter. Inspired by the dance Mecca island of Ibiza, the CD has already spawned several club anthems, with many more to come. To experience him as a DJ, check out his recently released mixed compilation Release Yourself 5, his frequent podcasts and radio shows.
Sander Kleinenberg Interview
With his third release in the ever-growing and popular Everybody series, Sander Kleinenberg continues to annihilate dance floors from the Space terrace in Miami to his residency at Crobar New York. Everybody loves Sander, for a reason.

Scorccio Interview
Scorccio Interview
Scumfrog Scorches
The Scumfrog was my first big name interview a few years back, so it makes sense that he is also my first followup. With the release of his debut artist album "Simmer," he showcases the production skills that have made him the in-demand guy for everyone from Missy Elliott and Annie Lennox to Britney Spears and Dido. Playing all the instruments and even singing on several tracks, Scumfrog's adventure into tribal house takes on a fresh punk rock twist.
Sean Holland

Shapeshifters Interview - Interview with the Shapeshifters (aka Shape:UK)
The Shapeshifters, or Shape:UK as they are known in the US, broke out onto international scene with "Lola's Theme," one of those rare club records that enter the mainstream consciousness yet stays true to the club roots. Sonny J Interview - Interview with Sonny J
While the internet is full of people making mashups, it's rare to find a legal and licensed CD that is primarily based on samples of other people's music. Sonny J's "Disastro" is just about as random of an electronic music CD as you could imagine. Listening to it, there is simply no way to imagine what will come next. Sonny J's talent is finding seemingly random records found in second hand record shops and blending them into sonic masterpieces reminiscent of Fatboy Slim and Mylo.
Soul Seekerz Interview
With over sixty remixes burning up British dance floors for everyone from the Basement Jazz, and INXS to Pink, Dannii Minogue, and Bananarama over the past two years, the Soul Seekerz are making a step towards the states with their debut single "Party for the Weekend." You might know the members of the Soul Seekerz: Julian Napolitano, Simon Langford, and Andrew Galea, from one of their many other projects they worked on individually like the Freestylers, Dreamcatcher, JDS, and Perpetual Motion.
Starkillers Interview - Nick Terranova and Austin Leeds
From the track of WMC to the most-booked DJ, its been a wild year for the Starkillers. The track "Diskoteka" definitely made the "beat go boom" and launched Nick Terranova and Austin Leeds into the stratosphere. Massive remixes of Paul Oakenfold, Iio, and Creamer & K filled out the year that was punctuated by the followup smash "Scream." You've got to love Nick & Austin, if only for the simple fact that they are the first people I've interviewed to thank their parents for their support.
Static Revenger Interview - DJs Are Alive
You've heard the sound of Static; as a musician with Inner City and Charm Farm and as the remixer who took club records from INXS and the Mulletmen on tours across the dancefloors of the world. You've felt his input in several club smashes over the past few years, and now, in conjunction with Kristine W, the Scumfrog, DJ Skribble, and D:Fuse, the Revenger has helped form dance supergroup DJs Are Alive. The sound of now is static- can you feel it?

Steve Porter Interview
PorterHouse Volume 2 is quite an energetic and adventurous mix of house, trance, breaks, and everything else. Superstars #1 Hits Remixed - Hosh Gureli Interview
It's rare that I interview record executives for dancemusic.about.com, but when I listen to a compilation like "Superstars #1 Hits Remixed," I have to track down the people in charge and ask them about it. This absolutely incredible CD features the dance remixes of every A-list artist in current rotation. Compiled and produced by Hosh Gureli, a Vice President of A&R (Artist and Repertoire) at RMG Sony/BMG, Superstars #1 Hits Remixed is unlike any other CD out there.
Teri Bristol and Tod Miner - TnT Interview
TnT is an apt name for the team of Teri Bristol and Tod Miner because their music is quite energetic and explosive. Chicago-based producers and DJs, the two came together, blending their musical backgrounds to form an amazing team. With their take on the Waitresses "I Know What Boys Like" blowing up in clubs, look for a club tour with lots of live elements in the very near future.
That Kid Chris Interview - Another Level
With the drums and bassline worked out, he adds a few layers of percussion onto his next track. He is in his studio, where yet again Chris Staropoli a.k.a. That Kid Chris lays down the foundation of another track. He doesn't bask in the success of the last track well done. He moves on to his next moment. Always looking for a new beat, and another project, Chris always seems to keep busy.

His recent artist album "Pumpin'" spawned the international club hits "Your Body," "Now or Never," and "Take It," which is getting major play on US dance radio.
Tomcraft Interview
With tracks like "Punk da Funk," "Loneliness," and "Brainwashed," anytime I see Tomcraft on a track, I know that it's going to sound good in a DJ set. His new single with Naidoo, "People Like Them," is no exception – dark, dramatic and pounding, his trademark sound. With the upcoming CD release, tentatively titled "TOB," Tomcraft (aka Thomas Brückner), has teamed up with members of Gus Gus, Republica, and the Bloodhound Gang. Ich kann nicht warten, that's German for I can't wait.[

Video Mashup Kings Interview - Interview with Video Mashup Kings

Joining forces with Talking Heads frontman David Byrne, the crew unleashed "Lazy," a massive chart-topping smash that brought them to pop crossover land in 2002. With influences from the 60s, 70, 80s, and outer space, Makeshift Feelgood is a rare commodity from the world of dance music – a true artist album.[p]
