After listening to and reviewing CDs by DJ ATB dating back to Addicted To Music, I'm now a bit of a veteran, which can go both ways depending on the level of professionalism vs. bias in reviewing. Anyone who knows Wes knows that me and ATB are tight. He is the main reason I'm still into dance/ electronic music. On his second DJ In The Mix CD set in 4 years, ATB spins the grooves that get my body moving. The thing about Andre is, he isn't just good at mixing the music, or playing to the crowd: no, it's much more than that. He's great at creating a moment. It's the moment every lover of trance/dance/electronic music longs for: the moment that makes you stop, take a breath and turn up the stereo and say "DAMN!" He is a master at finding those moments. I had the extreme honor of attending one of ATB's sets in December 2005, and the honor of meeting him.

I can happily say that the amazing feeling of that night is recreated on this two-disc set. Songs like his new track "Summer Rain," Luminary's "Amsterdam," and Gabriel and Dresden's "Without You Near" made me stop and think about what a gift, a precious gift electronic music is. Other standout tracks include Armin van Buuren's "Who Is Watching," a protege of ATB's who I've come to respect and admire as well. Also, Funabashi's "Daylight" was a beauty.

This is a really strong set, spread across 140 minutes on two CDs, and I can't recommend it enough.
