Track 2 on this mix CD is proof positive of the difference a DJ can make. While Sessamato's "I Need Somebody" was a thudding dud on Tom Stephan's ill-advised These Beats Are...., it fits perfectly into Alyson Calagna's Party Groove. The energy of this album is higher, more solid. and a finer balance of moods and gooves. Purple Kitty's "Bang On" is a current personal fave, but the wonderful flow of mix and song makes this a disc to bang in the car, the club or at a house party. Capture's "BBC News," Amuka's fiery "Appreciate Me" and Peter Bailey's thumping "Dancefloor" should have your head spinning all night (or at least for this disc's full hour length).
