Alyson's "What're You Gonna Do" features remixes by Ralphi Rosario and Jason Randolph. By providing peak-hour mixes and dubs for this up-and-coming artist, the remixers attempt to create a new dancefloor diva.

Ralphi Rosario's Club Mix encompasses Alyson's bland vocals with a barrage of staccato beats and typical sound effects. Since there is nothing impressive or unique about Alyson's vocals, Ralphi's Dub is the mix of choice on this release. The dub will fit in nicely with most peak-hour sets, however, it's still not one of Ralphi's strongest efforts.

Jason Randolph treats us to four different versions: an extended club mix, two edits, and an instrumental. A time difference of sixty seconds separates the two edits. Randolph's Extended Club Mix is full of high energy synths and riffs, reminiscent of the now defunct remixers Thunderpuss (Barry Harris & Chris Cox). The various synth stabs take the energy up on the track, but at points, Randolph drives the energy back down due to a lackluster bassline.

Overall, this single is not a very strong release. Consisting of boring vocals, redundant and formulaic lyrics, and very typical production work, Alyson's "What're You Gonna Do" is a song that does not make waves in these summer months.
