This time Armin returns to his forte, a shift from the tangent 2005 volume. Disk I (On the Beach) is laid-back trance for the most part. "Your Loving Arms" is a cover and features a very nice female vocal from Karen Overton-- well done with some fine programming. "Small Step to the Other Side (elevation remix)," a hot trance instrumental, is a welcome shot of energy to this disk. Envio's "For You (outro edit)," despite being too long, is an exquisite trance instrumental with some acoustic guitar & violin adeptly woven in.
Disk II (In the Club) is what we'd hope to hear from Armin; upbeat trance, with mostly short tracks which keep the listener interested. The choices here are strong, making this a crowd-pleaser for Armin fans. Of note: "Captured (Sebastian Brandt remix)" is the most amazing track on the project, sporting a very Kyau Vs. Albert type of energy, with a more aggressive feel than "Transmigration," which is also impressive and very similar in sound with good movement. Arksun's "Arisen" begins this disk. It is a sizzling dark instrumental with some tasty programming. "Sail," a new/original track of Armin's, closes the set-- nothing astounding, but a nice trance instrumental.
