Avalon Superstar featuring Rita Campbell - All My Love

Avalon Superstar is a group of Boston-based DJs who've teamed up with Rita Cambell for their debut track, "All My Love." The original mix is vocal disco house with sweeping string arrangements. The Aaron McClelland mix goes electro, and the synth stabs are the direct offspring of Olive's "You're Not Alone," providing warm and fuzzy familiarity right out of the box. Joe Bermudez goes for a progressive feel, with a restrained, groovy bassline and trippy vocal effects. Simon Langford puts in a hard electro mix that comes off like a vocal dub. The synth work is a little busy, and the basic hooks of the song are somewhat lost in all the twiddling. Koishi and Hush deliver a good trance mix that works very well with the song and Campbell's voice. Dirty Vegas caress the song with their Ibiza remix, foregoing a house mix in favor of some light bongos and acoustic guitar while pushing Campbell's vocals straight to the front. Not for a peaking dancefloor, but this sounds great on the patio with a light breeze and cool drink- and shows strength in the basic song in that it can stand on its own without a huge amount of production. Saving the best for last, the Soulseekerz put in the biggie here.
