The duo start things nicely with a Norah Jones vocal (yes, I was suprised too) by the Peter Malick Group. The track, "Strange Transmissions," is the kinda laid-back, groovy house track I like at the end of a long weekend... or, like the title implies, after a night of bad behavior. "The Devil Made Me Do It" follows Norah up and is just one of those tracks that makes you laugh out loud. I won't say much to spoil how funny it is but it's definitely the highlight of the CD for me. Other gems include a remix of "From the Inside" by Gioia and "Horny All the Time" by Triple Lexx.
The whole thing has a light electro feel to it, which personally isn't my cup of tea. For what it's worth though, the track selection is top notch. The mixing on the other hand is kind of cut and dry: there really isn't any.
The first three tracks of the CD are quick cuts that leave much to be desired on a "DJ-mixed" compliation. These kind of CDs are a tricky thing. It's tough to produce the feel of a packed dancefloor or a kicking DJ set on a 75-minute CD. They always sound too manufactured and polished for me... but maybe I'm being pessimistic.
